In your
hotel, situated very close to Avignon and Gordes, you will feel at
home, you will be able to go for a nice walk and discover the unique
light and atmosphere in the heart of Provence. Then you will have a
welcome dinner prepared by our Chef Pierre at the Hotel. Traditional
Provence cuisine with wines.
Transfer
from the Avignon TGV (fast train) station (recommended) or from the
Avignon airport (via Paris) to your Hotel, where we will have a welcome
drink while we talk about the tour.
Today we
will introduce you to the Gigondas wines. Gigondas is a French wine
Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) in the southern Rhône wine region
of France. It is solely a Red wine region with a small amount of rosé
wine produced. After a complete breakfast at the hotel, you will be
introduced to the Provence products during our visit of the market of
Vaison-La-Romaine, with its unique one arch Roman bridge. Lunch will be
in a local restaurant.
In the
afternoon we will visit two winegrowers of Gigondas, where we will have
wine tastings. We will visit the area and have dinner in a local
restaurant.
Today and
tomorrow will be devoted to Châteauneuf du Pape, the most renowned
appellation of the southern part of the Rhône Valley. After breakfast
we will visit a Cave and taste some wines, and then go for lunch in a
local restaurant.
Today,
after breakfast, we will complete our visits to our selection of
Chateauneuf du Pape winegrowers and, if the weather is good with us,
we'll have a long relaxing picnic of local cheeses and other
specialities in their vineyards (if not lunch will be in a local
restaurant).
Today
will be devoted to the Tavel wines. Tavel is a wine-growing Appellation
d'Origine Contrôlée in the southern Rhône wine region of France, across
the Rhône River from Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC and just north-west of
Avignon. Tavel wines are all rosé wines and must have a minimum alcohol
content of 11%.The vineyards are located in the commune of Tavel only.
Lunch will be in a local restaurant.
After breakfast, we will take you back to the train station or airport hoping you have spent an unforgettable time with us.

After a
rest at the Hotel, we will visit another winegrower and taste his
wines. Dinner will be on your own in a local restaurant of Chateauneuf
du Pape.
This
afternoon, after one or two other Domaines visit and tastings, we will
walk around the city of Avignon. We will visit the historical part, and
have dinner in one of its most renowned restaurants.
In the
afternoon we will visit two other Tavel winemakers to taste their
wines. Our dinner tonight will be prepared by our Chef Pierre at the
